To be honest, everything I've tried which doesn't work without a disc in BM2 still works with a disc in the drive. I'm going through my backups at the moment to see what the compatibility is. If it isn't too bad I might stick with BM2 and just occasionally use a disc in the drive for problem games.

Yep most of my games just seem to crash?

I can say that borderlands doesn't work with BM2-hermes and infamous works perfect

Hmmm yep, lol. I've got about 30 games backed up on an external and only got as far as the 'B' section. Compatibility was about 50% so I'm back with BM1.

It's handier for me because putting a game disc in the drive before launching a backup is now an automatic reaction. Oh well, maybe there'll be a backup manager v3 soon.

As for BM, can i still have Backup Manager 1 installed aswell? for the games that dont work on BM2? Cause im pondering if i should do the update to BM2, since i have no issue with having a CD in my drive and BM2 is really buggy and doesnt run many things!

If BM2 is the only advantage to having Hermes Payload, i might wait out since BM1 is pretty much doing me good at the moment!

I think yo can use this binary with BM1, and when you want replace with BM2, I can't confirm because I only have installed BM2 :/ sorry, try using this binary and the BM1

Well im using the first binary that was compiled last night for the 4g GrayScale and have managed to install BM1 and FTP and there both running fine!

what im saying is, i dont really know if its worth upgrading to the latest Binary that has Hermes Payload and enabled BM2 because its really buggy...

BM1 and 2 work fine with the payload here. May as well stick with it even though I'm only using BM1 - there'll be other homebrew which needs it, I'm sure.

well... you can try, save the old one (also i have the link I think) and test the new one, if it works like the old one too, perfect, if not, replace with the old one

I had tried a patch in Linux last night on my rockbox using latest build from svn. It patched fine, but wouldn't compile.
That thread with patches is pretty messed up, not knowing for sure what patch is needed.
I actually read all 50... some pages.

But Kudos to you all with all your hard work.

I actually have a PS3key, but I wanted to give this a go as well.
