{Guide} RockBox + PSGroove for your iPod - UPDATED w/ Hermes Support

This thread will be updated with the latest builds of PSGroove for various iPod models. All these files work with Backup Manager 1.0 and now 2.0 aswell as Open BM
I've made it very simple to identify your iPod, just click on the download below your iPod to the download a rar file, extract it and you will have a file called "rockbox.ipod", place it into the PSGroove folder of your iPod.

PART 1
Make a custom menu to load PSGroove, along with Apple OS & RockBox!

Guide works on Windows 32 & 64 bit OS
1. Download the following file: ipl.rar
2. Unzip the file somewhere easy to remember
3. Open up CMD, incase you dont know how, its simple. Click Start, then Run, then just type in CMD and press enter.
4. Type in CD followed by the directory where you unzipped the IPL folder. For example, if you unzipped the IPL folder to your C drive, then you're gonna type the following: CD C:\IPL\
5. Press enter, and you should now see that CMD displays the directory where your IPL folder is located.
6. Connect your iPod to your usb port, and type in the following, ipodpatcher -ab loader.bin
7. Let the installation do its thing, there will be another black window that opens, it should close automatically.
8. Restart your iPod, connect to computer via usb and open it up via My Computer, now create a folder called PSGroove in the root of the drive, and go back to the IPL folder you unzipped in step 2 and cut the file called loader.cfg and paste it also on the root of your iPod drive.

PART 2
Installing RockBox
1. Download the installer from here: Rockbox 3.6 Download
2. Once you start the program, a window will pop up asking you to select which iPod you have, just click on auto detect on the bottom.
3. Once that window closes, you'll be at the main window with several tabs you can choose from. Click on the Installation tab.
4. Click on Install Rockbox
5. Once the installation is finished, restart your iPod.
6. Download one of the files below and place it into your PSGroove folder on the root of your iPod drive, the same folder you created in in Step 8 of the previous instructions

PART 3
Install Packages & Homebrew Apps
1. After you successfully perform this jailbreak, you'll notice a couple of new options listed in your XMB which let you install packages.
2. To install a pkg file, simply place the file onto the root of any usb drive and plug into ps3 AFTER jailbreak, you will then need to install the package by selecting the option from the PS3 xmb
3. Enjoy!

One question though, are the files you posted with or without BM support? Are they the original PSgroove or the Hermes version?

Thanks AcuraKidd for this post, at now I'm waiting for the release for the iPod 4G grayscale, all this works with Backup Manager 1.0, can you put a link for download it?

I'm a little confused with all this Backup Manager (1.0, the 1.1 and the 2.0 Hermes version).

All these files work with Backup Manager 1.0

I know that it isn't support psgroove for ipod nano 2g until know but i have a problem when i install IPL, it gives me a "Use iTunes to restore" message on ipod.
Any help?

the file that murphyw posted above is the file that have to be changed to compile correctly after the compilation error of the overflow

Sorry but from your megaupload link I've download only "ram.link" file and not rockbox.ipod, how can I use them?
