im having trouble
when i press PSGroove on my ipod it loads to Rockbox
but when im i turn on my Ps3 it says unknown device detected
nothing pops out after like 3 minutes
does anyone know the problem ?

Are you hitting the eject button immediately after pressing power? This is how you enter JB mode. Also, the machine must be unplugged / hard powered off before you attempt the JB sequence. The ps3 takes a few extra seconds to boot up, and you will see install PKG files under the Game menu.Quote:

I just tried it 3 times with the method exactly as you are describing, and it worked all three times for me. The only time I get the unkown usb device is if I do not hard power off the machine or don't hit the eject button. My only guess at this point is incorrect firmware version (unlikely, you sound like you know you need to be on 3.41) or incorrect implementation of the rockbox.ipod file.Quote:

when i press install packages it says
"no installable package was found "
is it the file ?
do people actuallty research stuff that they are gunna do O.o instead of jumping head fist`n `n not knowing anything.. you need to put the packages on a usb flash drive, then you can select "install packages" and install your packages:wow: :D:chinscratQuote:

now you need to go here and download Open Manager
unzip it till it;s called something.PKG
get a usb stick, copy the .PKG file onto it, stick it into another usb port on your ps3 (don't unplug your ipod!)
then go into the "install packages" folder
click the open manager.pkg file and it'll instal it
