[UPDATED - PSGROOVE V1.1] - Jailbreak PS3 with ATAVRXPLAIN Board -Flashing Guide

Since no one has posted it I thought I might as well compile the latest hermes psgroove so the LEDs light up on the xplain correctly. So here is my hex it works prefectly and the lights on the xplain are working correctly now.

Hello, I followed all of the nicely written directions for the xplain and it works great. Thank you.

It lets me install packets and what not.
But when I install BM and try to run a file of a game I own that has a huge crack in the disc, I get an error.

I click on Bm1 and select the game, then it jumps back to the dashboard and the disc icon changes from the actual dvd to the game I selected.
The background even changes to portray the backed up game.
But when I click on the game the screen goes black and thinks for a bit, then a error pops up (80010007) and it is unable to play the game.

I tried it with the hexs you supplied and the ones that were added just a few minutes ago by Dentnu, same issue. I tried BM 1 and BM2 same issue.
Also I get the exact same issue when i used my iPod to hack the PS3.

Is it possible that it is the file I used?
Or the way I FTPed it to the internal drive?
I used the older PS3 FTP program, it looks like it worked ok, and the background pops up ok.

I am transferring the file to the drive again but it looks like it will take a while.

Any ideas what i might be doing wrong?

EDIT: Looks like it was just the game.
I tested another game and it started fine, got through the first few logos and then black screen.

Got my XTAVRXPLAIN flashed with a user compiled hermes hex for my device and using BMv2 no problems other than than 90% of the games not working =)

I hope they fix the issues with all this , I'm patient so I can wait..

or can I !!! OMG !!!

Hey,

My board was working flawlessly until today.

It doesn't work anymore. The status LED (green/red) always goes red now.

I reflashed it and the led turns green but, everytime it gets unplugged it goes back to being red.

Any ideas?

i dont know just trying to help did you remove the pins after the reflash ?

I still have strange problems with BM. I tested a lot of BM and every one jump back to XMB - no option to backup, play or delete. Finally I found one that is working. Even don't know which version it is, because after installation there is no icon.
The same issue with FTP - 1.0b is working ok, but 1.1b jump back to XMB.
I tired it with plain hex, v1.1 from the first post and that ones from Dentau - always the same scenario.

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? I don't have external HDD, only internal, perhaps this is the reason....

quick question i could have the hermes hex and still use the old BM since taht one works great for me so far no need to update besides the new one have some issues still ?
