Yeah, 3.4.2 comes with bad drivers. I don't think it's a coincidence that the first time they update their drivers in years is the same month their hardware is used for a jailbreak lol.

There you go guys, uploaded via multi upload...so the links shouldn't die too soon. Mods, if this is against the rules, please feel free to delete/edit this post.
hey there guys, is there a way to open up a hex file and edit the makefile from it. because i want to edit the hex file in order to change the speed from 16hz to 8hz. can this be done? thanks
so its confirmed that 3.4.2 messes up the board ? Like it wont work with the HEX?
3.4.2 did NOT work for me on Windows 7 x64, but it DID work on windows xp x32.
When I used windows 7 and pointed to the required drivers, windows would give an error (something about signed drivers) and whenever I tried to open the USB device through Flip, it would tell me that usb device could not be found.
But it worked fine on windows xp.
I just used a plain, old electrical wire with the casing removed. (most of the wires come enclosed in a plastic casing that protects the user from being shocked or creating shorts). I just bent it to to the shape of an "L" and the length of the 3 pins (so that I wouldnt touch any pins) and just touched the pins with it.
Dude their is no reason in the world the drivers on flip are bad. That just stupid . It's a driver to allow windows to recognize the device. Every time someone dicks up or has a proplem sony's not behind it. Quit being stupid.
The drivers allow Windows two communicate with the board. It has nothing to do with psfreedom. They do work with Windows 7 ( it appears to be easier with xp) The tutorial works people need to follow it and read. Stop
oh ya, on the touching, i can use like metal *say a knife* and place over all 3 thats the part im confused on?

But yeah im pretty sure anything thats metal, and relatively small will be good.
And yes, you have to make sure that your metallic item touches ALL 3 of the pins at the same time for a few seconds.
lol i used nail clipers all i had next to me haha
