you have to reflow the ps3. if ur good at taking shit apart and putting them back together the right way then you should be ok. but if your not and your friend wants to get rid of it pm me and ill shoot a offer to em. btw reflowing doesnt always work as other ppl have made their ps3 into a really big paper weight

good luck. remember that if your open up ur ps3 and doesnt reflow then its done

this worked for my friends ps3 FIX PS3 YELLOW LIGHT/YLOD. WITHOUT OPENING PS3 - YouTube give it a try
