Ok i was snooping around my ps3 after i installed the otheros loader on 3.41.
I figured that it must be a boot flag that is used to set the ps3 in otheros mode. So i started looking in the registry and found a entry that might be worth looking into. "/setting/premo/bootCount", i think that if i change this it will boot my petiboot loader then let me run my linux install that i still have on there from 3.15. I will be doing some other research into this, but im at school atm so i cant just test this on the PS3. If someone will try this on a ps3 with Otheros installed with fw 3.15 or lower without just changing the setting from xmb. That would help alot.
Because if you change the setting, reupload it to the ps3 then reboot, it should just go to the otheros.
I could be wrong it might be a different setting, but i dont want flaming or whatever i just need someone to test this.
Please post back results or anything that could help me find the boot flags.
Also im almost 99% sure that the registry is what the ps3 first goes to after lv1, then if the boot flag is set to 1 or whatever it will boot otheros.
EDIT 1:
Found "/setting/premo/remoteBoot/"
Thanks.
