Wrong Logic Board –
I have a 80gb Playstation 3 It has a new logic board which is same model and everthing, Someone gave it to me but didnt include the old board with it so i could solder the chip, So i cant use no applications as its not the "MARRIED" drive. It showes the game via GAME but black screens, And all apps loads to Black Screen. Is there away to remarry the board to the motherboard? At this point ill try anything and anything is worth a try.
I have the same problem. I am unsure if it is the original or just bad logic board. Are there any numbers or anything on them and the motherboard to determine if it is the original or not? I just need to know if I can swap the chip or wait for a way to marry the board.
I'm pretty sure that downgrading process can marry them. But some older PS3 models will lose ability to play Blu-ray movies, there is tones of info on that.
I Upgraded downgraded and everything else and still no go,
if you can play apps on your console like demos etc your logic board is married to your playstation 3, your best bet would buy the same board, will be numbers on it like, BMD-021 or what ever yours may be. Order one desolder your chip on ur board and solder it on the new card and it will be a new logic board married to your ps3
maybe remarring is not that easy as most assume. maybe we need to connect to the scei servers to do this id change thing.
Exactly, and it's done via a certain application (cex.exe (for retails) & dex.exe (for debugs) ? that Official Repair Centers do own...

maybe @ CCC event ? or in a few weeks/months ?
im sure some devs are working on it trying to find a way to remarry them,
but they'll release stuff only when done i guess.
