You cannot do that at all on PS3 by running Linux. PS3 uses a virtualization machine scheme to allow to Linux to run.
Just like vmware on PC.
So the security layer on PS3 will be NEVER disabled like that as you guys would think, your only hope is to wait for some kind of modchip (aka hardware modification), or a hacked firmware (very hard to happen since is scrambled by using better than 128-bit, or even more than 512-bit crypto).
