Working Drive Not reading on Original Fat PS3 –

Hi Guys,
so ive just put together a Launch model PS3 CECHA01 .. they probelm i have is i cannot get the unit to read a disc, i have installed in the bluray drive board that came with the mainboard the unit is working but whenever i put in a game it inserts correctly and the little disc on the screen spins but it wont load.. i have tried the drive with a different bluray board on another system and its fine.. which rules out the laser unit.. the console is running 4.11.. could i have an 'unmarried" bluray PCB for this mainboard? what usually happens if the unit notices un unmarried bluray board? does it beep or anything? ive never had this issue before.. is there a guide to re-marry a bluray board and mainboard on FW 4.11?
any help would be much appricated :-)

unfortunatley the only way to remarry the drive is to downgrade to 3.55 and remarry. IF a newer CFW gets released, or atleast just the keys, then fsm can be made to work and the remarry files can be risigned to 4.11. but until then you have to downgrade to 3.55 to remarry, sorry

thanks for the reply,
i have just now tried a Different bluray board on the machine (one that obviously isnt married) and when i put in a disc the unit takes it but the disc at the top right of the screen stays still, the unit doesnt beep or anything, i have since re-installed the bluray board that was supposed to go with the mainboard back on, insert a disc and the loading picture disc spins but then stops and nothing else happens. does this sound like something that would happen in the instance of an UN-married bluray board? the only way (or best way) to downgrade to 3.55 is via progskeet correct?
thanks

Yes have pulled the bluray drive out, and swapped the boards over for a different system and installed the drive in the other system and the bluray rom works fine, so the laser unit must be ok, the problem i have is when i put the same bluray drive in the CECHA model with the bluray board for the CECHA it wont run the disc, it takes it in, and the picture at the top of the screen shows "loading" (the disc is spinning) but then after a bout 5-7 seconds it just stops and nothing else happens.. i have tried with a CD and a Game disc.. both have the same issue.
i have even tried a different known working bluray drive with the Bluray board for the CECHA attached to it.. and the same issue..
how do i downgrade?.. do i have to use Progskeet?

progskeet would be the way to go. you need to read up for about a week before you even attempt to dump and flash your console. or just wait until 4.11 keys are discovered (if they ever are) and then the remarry files will be signed so we can re-marry on 3.56+
but anyways, yes downgrade to 3.55 and remarry.

thanks for the reply, Man that really sucks.. ive been doing a bit of reading on Progskeet.. its prity complicated.. i cant even find a full install pic for the COK-001 board, the amount id spend on a Progskeet unit would almost cover the price of a replacement console.. but i will keep looking at it as an option. after reading around abit it seems allot of 60GB launch model users are having issues with the update to 4.11 disc read errors etc etc
is there any way to downgrade using a non hardware mode.. i.e. put the console into factory service mode using the JIG dongle and do it that way?
with Prgskeet.. if you dump your NAND's and then use flowrebuilder and check them out.. isnt this a dump of the 4.11 firmware.. and they say something about each consoles dump being unique. you cant use a dump from another console. is this correct? how do you dump on a 3.55 FW then?

HI Guys,
im just tryingto understand what is involved in the whole procedure to get this drive remarried. say i downgrade with progskeet etc to OFW 3.55.. im just tryna follow the Remary procedure on the DevWiki but im having trouble understanding it.. if im on 3.55 do i still have to downgrade to 3.30 or less for the Remarry files to work? im confused ..
