isn't it slow as hell?
maybe if the fedora linux arent using the xdr memory on it (xdr is faster than ddr2) or maybe not cause linux is not memory sucker unlike other OSes, other than that picture i dont have any info on how they did it
That's qemu, not vmware.
It would be faster to run WinXP for CELL
I assume IBM has a special version of WinXP for that purpose.
is qemu different from vmware or is this two are virtual machine the truth i dont have enough knowledge about linux
I've never heard of such a thing, and I don't see why they would bother.Originally Posted by barf
IBM have WinXP PPC at least...
I'm really curious about MacOS X
Win XP for PPC?
PPC Support was dropped after NT4.0 (same as for Alpha and MIPS).
There is no Win XP for PPC.
See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows...rted_platforms
QEMU is a processor emulator which can (among others) simulate X86 processors (including whole systems with peripherals).

That's the "trick" that is used in this case.

hmmm so the processor is only being emulation which i think this is the good start of development
