    Hi all I have a 20gd BC PS3 and a 40gb non BC PS3 on both on Kmeaw CFW 3.55 and I was wondering if I but my BC blu ray dive in my 40gb playstation will it work and will I still be able to play my PS2 games like normal. I have searched but I cant find it but Im sure someone asked this before so if anyone can point me in the right place or answer this for me please help me out thx

    No, putting the BD drive from the BC console into the non-BC console will not magically make it BC, the internal hardware of the console itself is what makes the machine BC, not the drive.

    Ok I was hoping the hardware was in the board at the bottom of the blu-ray drive and I could marry it to my 40gig. I did notice they have diff boards at the bottom of the drives tho so I cant just swap them
