Wich one to pick? (hdd?)
Whichever drive you choose, always stay away from green drives. They do a spin down when idle for to long and will cause a choke/stutter on your PS3. Also, faster is always better, so I'd go for a 7200 RPM whenever you make your decision.
What are you refering 2 when you say green drives?

the stock ones in the ps3 are all 5400 right?
This is true and the speed difference is barely noticeable.

I think sony use 5400 for a reason...By the way,it was a 60g fat one,,Bougt a new slim 250g..Only 2 usb,weak ones,,cant drive 2tb hdd..must have power supported usb hub,,only positive its really quiet...
decided to go with the 5400 - just purchased it
Newegg.com - Seagate Momentus 5400.6 ST9500325AS 500GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive
I know speed is nice, but right now - id prefer to go with longevity over speed - if that means having to wait another 2 sec for load times so be it.
Lol man because I was drunk I ordered the 7200rpm version :shhh:
It works like a charm but I wish I would have bought the 5400rpm
5400 RPM Western Digital
Works great, never had problems with it! Used to run Linux on it, and Thank God my father owns a computer shop, and internet business.
