Hey everyone,
so i'm new to the PS3 mod scene and I was wondering if anyone can help me out?
So i just picked up a 60GB Nand PS3(My model is cecha01) with the latest Firmwire 4.20
My question is what do I need to do to downgrade it to 3.55?
Any advice or feedback would be much appreciated

If it came with firmware above 3.55, then you can't downgrade to a suitable firmware that will jailbreak. If it came with firmware at or below 3.55 then you need to downgrade to 3.55 with a progskeet or e3 flasher, then jailbreak it.
I'm pretty sure any 60gb PS3 shipped with a firmware below 3.55, so your PS3 can probably be downgraded.
would either one of those require soldering? If so im screwed
the 60gb ps3 you have is a NAND model so you will need progskeet and yes you are screwed if you don't know how to solder. 32 wires >.>
Oops i forgot to mention that there is a solderless way but it is only partial solderless... it only requires 2 wires i believe.. it's the prog skeet with the 360 clip This method will also cost you a lot more money
