where can I get a PS3 slim that can get me to 3.41 or 3.55?

Hello pro gamers,I am a newbie to PS3. Recently a friend told me that only fw v.3.41 and 3.55 are good for roms. So I am interested of getting a slim one for myself. However, 3.41 on ebay are pretty expensive considering most of them are used. For 300 something I'd rather get a new one. But I am not sure what version I will get if I get a new one. Can someone please tell me where can I buy a new one with v3.55 fw or older version in the USA? Amazon? Bestbuy? Target? Thank you in advance!

Supposedly the ps3 move bundle comes with 3.42 and thats in shops now isn't it.

Only thing I gotta say is CRAIGSLIST, CRAIGSLIST, and CRAIGSLIST!!! Just have the owner verify the firmware its on before you buy it. You'd be surprised how many people bought one over the last few years and its just collecting dust.

Put an ad in craigslist that says WTB: PS3 slim 3.55 firmware or below.

That's what I did, it took about a week but I got my 120gb for a really good price! I'm sure it'll work give it a try!

Do the new ones now come with 3.56 or 3.60 now? I bought a 160 GB slim new at gamestop about 3 weeks ago and it had 3.50 on it. Just updated to 3.55 kmeaw from there.
