What sony has lost with me and my family!

Sony since you removed OtherOS illegaly i started to boycot any products from you from entering in my family's house!
1)In my dad and mom's house we were gonna buy a sony LCD TV... returned it for a samsung one because of your bullshit. 1200€ in value
2)My sister was going to buy a mp3 cd player from sony and guess what? she returned it for a LG one.
3)I bought a second hand PS3 just to give you the less money possible so you can't have profit from me!
4) i bought 2 asus laptops, one for me and one for my girlfriend, i bought 2 laptops for my dad and another for my sister!
(was going to buy 4 sony vaio's, and returned them to choose other laptops without sony mark)
5) Bought a FULL HD monitor for my PS3, and i had seen a beautifull one, but when i saw the mark: SONY i said to the guy in the store: I want another one... this sucks!
6) Bought a phone from Nokia when my girlfriend wanted a sony ericsson! and bought another 4 for the rest of the family!
7) I smashed a radio from SONY for my car and bought a new one from blaupunkt!

In my uncle part:
1) My aunt bought herself a Asus laptop and returned her sony laptop.
2) My uncle did the same and so did my cousin!

My grandma:
1) Bought a Samsung and throw away in the garbage her old sony TV!

My grandpa:
2) Bought a new radio from samsung and a radio for the car from blaupunkt and refused one from SONY!

More then 25000€ in products for other companies!!!!!

Sony this is an advice from a simple customer who knows nothing about hacking:

Everytime someone asks me if a sony product is good i simply answer this:
There are better marks then sony! Why buy a sony product if you can buy another mark and spare some money and get a better product!

I sure hope this makes you think better of the way you treat customers, because the customers made you the way you are today!

I hope i can see some answers (positive or negative) from other forum members!

well zylor bro absolutly right iam a sony fan ... and also i was grown with video games but lately with what sony doing since the realease of ps3 in 27 -11-2006 and untill now its nonsince and they loses many fans and they really lost me ... well i have two ps3 but from now on i'll not buy any sony products

Sony makes tons of cash off of domestic purchases, that aren't likely to be affected by a boycott elsewhere. By all means, keep your pride and your boycott. But don't think for a second it will make a difference. 95% of people don't give a damn.

as sad as it is, all these big companys dont care. the majority of consumers who buy these producst are dumb down people who 1. dont care. or 2. dont know any better.

i admire your enthusiasm, and i say keep it up!
but!, its likely, the majority of people wont follow suite.
alot of the people on this website will agree with you, to a degree.
but this website makes a small portion of the larger sony user base.

just spread the word about all the shinangins these corporate ****suckers try to peddle us, and we can only hope we at lest make a small dent, and in the very lest, protect ourselves/friends/family.

I'd rather buy Apple & Microsoft than Sony these days…

Xbox360 Core was $199 with just a wired controller and a system…eventually got a 64MB card, now its got 4GB…STILL $199

Apple improves their drive space on computers, CPUs, iPods/iPhones and drops last gen prices and keeps current prices with newer stuff

Sony drops prices, goes from 4 to 2 USB ports, removed Super Audio CD playback (who really used it), Linux & PS2 support…sure the device is $300 vs the $600 that it was, but its lost half its functionality…

as other systems drop in price and offer more for your money, Sony drops price and removes features of its system. It used to be the PS3 was the cheapest way into Blu-Ray players and now its the opposite, PS3s are $300 and Blu-Ray players are $100

All the major companies are at it, Sony, Apple, Microsoft, LG, Samsung, ect. If you follow one of these companies for long enough chances are they will screw you in one way or another. They're only after one thing and that's your money, none of them give a shit about you or your family, once you've bought their product you get slung into the keep net and they move on to peddling you the next peice of 'must have' technology.

I'll keep buying Sony products because I like what they make, if I see another company making the same thing but better then I'll go with that one. But I personally won't be putting any time and energy into boycotting/screwing any company because it's not worth my time/effort for the effect it would have.

just buy the products that offer the best quality for the most reasonable prices.

the only one you MIGHT be hurting with a Sony Boycott is yourself, really.


your protest seems very childish to me. The part of Sony that's making TVs is doing a great job (imho) and they have nothing to do with SCEE trying to protect their platform from piracy (which is the only reasonable thing to do. do you think devs are happy about your platform being wide open to piracy without you trying to counter this? ...)
