What Firmware are the latest PS3 160GB Slims (CECH-30xxA) shipping with?

Hi,

I already own a PS3, but was just curious as to what firmware the latest PS3 160GB Slims are shipping with (CECH-30xxA)? I thought I may get one for jailbreaking purposes if shipping with 3.50 or lower. Has anyone bought one recently?

You cannot downgrade CECH-30xxA/B consoles.

Why not buy an older, used unit and upgrade the hard drive?

Possibly a refurb unit from Gamestop?

Why cannot 30xx units can be downgraded ? E3 or progskeet ?

Because those models have metldr.2 and lv0.2 which does not allow 3.55 to boot. Same applies to CECH-25xx models made in April 2011 or later.
