WD 2TB HDD - Does it work with PS3
Firstly i know the 2TB wont physically fit in the PS3, but im after a external solution using the internal Sata port
i have a new 250gb PS3 slim and i want to upgrade my internal hdd, I want to upgrade it because i record alot of playtv and have to delete shows very often and also so i can install most of my games so they load quicker....
having said that ive been looking at the Scorpio BLue 750gb HDD for about $139au, as its the largest drive that fits. Now for that price i can get a WD20EARS 2TB 3.5" hdd.
know i now it wont fit but i was looking at getting a Sata power adapter and sata data cable to use it and just sit it next to my ps3 or get a USB HDD enclosure Case...with a sata out port
My question is: Will the PS3 recognize the full 2TB (or 1.8TB or whatever it is on the filesystem after format/system memory use) so i can use that full ~2TB for recording Playtv and installing games.
thanx in advance...
