want to change bd rom one to other ps3,both are fat,jailbroken with kmew 3.55

HI everyone,As the title says,last month one of my fat ps3 got overheating problem..So I want to use its bd rom to my other ps3,both fat ps3 are jailboken with kmew 3.55.I want you help to fix it.Your help would be grateful.Thanks in advance.

I did exactly the same and it takes some doing.

If I understand it you have a PS3 with a broken bd drive and one with Ylod.
Let me start by saying that swapping the drives only makes sence if you logic board is broken.
If it's just a lens issue, get yourself a new lens for the broken drive ( takes 10 minutes to install and you're all set again ).
If the drives are similar and your logic board is not the cause, you can just swap your logic board to the other drive and you should be up and running again.

note that the above solutions avoid re-marrying as you continue to use the same bd drive logic board with the ps3 and this is a quick fix.

If the logic board is at fault ( as it was in my case) you will need to downgrade to re-marry the logic board and fix the db playback afterwards.
To downgrade you'll need a old pre softmod dongle with downgrade firmware on.
I used ps3key myself but all downgrade compatible dongles will do.
Using this dongle you'll need to downgrade to firmware 3.30 ( or below I believe but that's the one I used ).
Here you can remarry you're drive.
the Original procedures say to play a bd movie before leaving the recovery so bd playback will be restored however this never worked for me.
Recently, this is no longer a problem as we can fix this later on.

One re-married, upgrade again to 3.55 (kmeaw) and test you're games.
If they get recognized, you succeeded in remarrying.
You can try a movie but big chance this will throw a unauthorized error.

Get multiman 4.11.00or above and fix your bd playback in here ( under the first column there's an option ).
It should detect something is wrong and rewrite some files.
After that bd playback should work again.

Now you best rehash your ps3 and qa flag it using the qa toogle pkg
This has become optional since roigero v4.30 2.03 but it does avoid a lot of possible bricks when upgrading downgrading further along the line

Upgrade your firmware to rogero 4.30 2.03 from xmb or recovery and you'll have a fully functional ps3 on the best firmware available today.
