Video Player for PS3

Hello, is there any video player to run on PS3?

I remember when I had ubuntu installed on the PS3, and tried to run a video file. My console almost burned down. I don't know if tried with yellow dog, or ubuntu... well, whatever.

Now the question is, any app for the PS3 you can run in, that contains a good video player without get your ps3 running slow? Any suggestion?
