Hi i recently got my usb dongle and its very cheap so i wanted to review it a bit and if you are still looking for cheap dongle then this is what you need

Rank: 1(worst)-5(best)
Shippment: 4 (Got a bit delayed because of holiday or else it got shippment tracki!)
Price rating: 5 (Very cheap)
Ease-of-use Rating : 5 (Very easy to use upgrade and flash)

I haven't been around as much lately. Will the PS2chiper dongle allow the flashing on any hex file? I believe this dongle is based from ATMEL chipset so I do know it can be updated. I just want to know about using different hex files. Thanks!

it should work. its based on atmel and if i remember right it has a 16kb flash room? so hex from other should work.. tried around a bit and it should work..

Has anyone tried upgrading/updating the ps2chiper dongle with various/alternate hex files? Upgrading ability is an absolutely needed feature in me buying a device. This should be the case but wanted to know if anybody has tried it out on his dongle. Thanks!

I just got one of these dongles. It worked OK. The LEDs don't work because they were soldered the wrong way around. Update to Hermes V3 worked OK
