Upgraded ps3 hdd without saving my save games... –
As the title says I've upgraded my ps3 hdd without backing up my savegames.
I thought i'd be able to put the hdd in an enclosure and then copy the stuff to the ps3 through usb. The ps3 backup restore utility tells me it'll delete the internal hdd first though to perform restore... don't want that though
I just want to copy my savegame.
Is there perhaps a program that can open the hdd on a pc? I can then copy the files through ftp. Running Kmeaw CFW.
Or maybe homebrew that can read and copy from this hdd?
Windows doesn't seem to recognise the hdd.

Reason: maybe homebrew?
If you haven't delete/formatted the older drive then just put that back into the ps3 and transfer all your save files to a pen drive which is formatted to fat32.
If you want to backup everything then you will need a fat32 formatted hdd and you can use the ps3 backup/restore utility.
Hope this helps
PS3: Slim 120GB on 3.41FW
Ext HDD: 500GB Segate Free AgentGO
JB Device: EciliPS3 (16kb) & P3GO (128mb)
Payload: Hermes V4B
If I switch the new hdd with the old, won't it ask me to format the hdd again?
Also when switching back to the new hdd, it would probably ask for a format?
It wont ask to format as long as you're on the same firmware version that was on your ps3 when ya upgraded the hdd.
Oh ok. thx for the info. Don't know if it's worth the hassle though... switching hdd's and between ofw and cfw.
Basically only for mgs4 for the extra's you get after finishing the game.
Thanks for the prompt help though. Was surprised to get replies after minutes
