un-modding my ps3
I have CFW 3.55 installed and i want to go back to whatever firmware ps3 is using. I bought a bunch of games from blockbusters that were going out of business and would like to play them as normal. I paid someone to mod my ps3, so i dont really know how to undo it. Thanks
Backup your saves, format your harddrive just to free up space or manually delete CFW stuff because you wont be able to delete stuff like game backups on OFW, then update via system update either by internet connection or USB. For USB update get whichever update you want to go to and put it on the USB drive like this x:/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP
Go to System settings then Format utility
Do some of those games require 3.56 or higher?

I don't use PSN at all, never have. I don't take that into consideration sometimes.
If you are wanting to do some online gaming then follow Polki333's instructions.
Considering that you paid somebody to do it for you, I wouldn't consider doing the manual delete stuff.
Just format and continue with life. :)
