ultra low speed in data transferring from pc to ps3 :(

Hello all,
My PS3 is on kmeaw 3.55, am having a 250gb hdd, for 2 years i have been playing downloaded games.
But i do not know why data transferring from pc to ps3 is getting too cumbersome. I'm only getting 400~600 Kbps, which in comparison to 10~12 Mbps(yeah am getting it earlier) is quite low. I was trying to transfer Dead Space 3(11gb)...but it seems to took a whole day to transfer.

By the way, I'm only using the multiman's in built ftp service and Winscp on my Windows 7 PC.
Follwing are the details am using as networking parameters:
For PS3-
IP address :1.10.10.10
Subnet Mask :255.255.255.0
Default Gateway:1.10.10.100
Preferred DNS :100.10.10.10
Alternate DNS :10.10.10.100

For PC-
IP address :1.10.10.4
Subnet Mask :255.255.255.0
Default Gateway:1.10.10.100
Preferred DNS :100.10.10.10
Alternate DNS :10.10.10.100

Though it connects easily via winscp, and am easily able to access the hdd of ps3, the only concern is the low speed of transfer. I have also tried to format the whole ps3 using format utility under XMB>System Settings, but nothing have proved to be helpful.
Even USB drives are giving me much better speed(around 2~5mbps).

Any help would be appreciated, Please help me out. Am having crysis 3, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, etc to play, but unless i transfer them, i'm down :(

is your connection wired?

on a side note, i have noticed that when i am in converted to dex, i get faster speeds than i do at retail. and its approx 10-12 mbps difference...
when im on rebug 4.21.2 (debug) i got average of 35 mbps, when i am on retail, i get around 22-25 mbps average.

my primary adapter connects to the internet, and is shared with any other adapters installed on my machine...
i use a seperate lan adapter to connect my ps3 to my pc. and this is my settings as follows on the extra lan adapter:

PC settings:
192.168.0.1 ip
255.255.255.0 subnet mask
192.168.0.2 default gateway
192.168.0.2 preferred dns server

PS3 settings:
192.168.0.2 ip
255.255.255.0 subnet
192.168.0.1 default gateway
192.168.0.1 preferred dns

settings are at full duplex as well.

if your connected thru a router you will prob need to check any settings that may have changed recently as well.

also i just noticed your using a class A network and a class C subnet mask:

For 10.0.0.0 to 10.255.255.255 subnet mask is - 255.0.0.0, which is a class A network

and for future reference:

For 172.16.0.0 to 172.31.255.255 subnet mask is - 255.255.0.0, and is a class B network
For 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255 subnet mask is - 255.255.255.0, and is a class C network


EDIT:

why is your ip 1.10.10.10?
is 1.X.X.X your routers ip range? ive never heard of anything using 1.x.x.x as ip, usually it atleast is 10.x.x.x
please answer me how your connecting the ps3 to the pc (wifi or wired, and if your running thru a router) and also let me know what your routers ip range is.

Yeah am on wired, connecting pc"s inbuilt adapter(ethernet) to ps3 ethernet via a CAT5 cable, as i have seen that pc adapters on intel doesn't require cross-over for switching.
If i convert to dex, will i be able to play all the games same way as on CEX? as i have read that DEX only provide one game to be installed only.
My those settings are at full duplex too, i was getting the good speed earlier, but i do not know what caused it to get lower than expected.

please answer my few questions m8, and i can then help you, OR do this (but you might lose internet conectivity until you set it back)

192.168.0.1 ip
255.255.255.0 subnet mask

255.255.255.0 subnet
192.168.0.1 default gateway
192.168.0.1 preferred dns


you absolutely have to make sure they are in the same ip range, and in the same subnet. just test with this above, then set everything back to as it was.

why is your ip addresses 1.10.10.10 and 1.10.10.100?

also with dex, you can stream games, and is the main reason i got the extra lan adapter... that way my ps3 network is completely free of any unrelated interference.

Thanx for the valuable information, am glad :).
But, about the ip being that, it had no issues earlier....but now I'm gonna try what You've suggested, hope it bring a better way...hope it make my day... :)

also, leave force as class set to default

FIRST just try to set your subnet mask's to 255.0.0.0

no problem with internet connectivity, i can easily get it back, am not a noob, just i didn't knew that Class A network and Class C Subnet.

I'd surely like to give a try to DEX later, but now i just want this on CEX..

Well i have tried these parameters, but it provide me no luck, the transfer rate still around 550kbps :(
