Transfering Game Save Question
Transfering Game Save Question –
I just upgraded my firmware to Rebug 4.21 successfully and spoofed to 4.31 and I'm on PSN, all has gone well. My problem is awhile back I had to create a new PSN account and PS3 profile because my old PSN account email is no longer accessible.
Anyway I started playing Dead Island on my old user profile offline but now that PSN is available I want to play online however I need to move my save to my new profile so I dont have to start the whole game again. Problem being the Dead Island save is 'Copy Prohibited'... Is there a way to get around this with all the new rebug features?

First try this, create a new save game(this needs to be done so it's registered and makes the ps3 think "it" did something wrong), now go to the save in Multiman or ftp and delete all the files of the save except the param.sfo then copy all the old save data except the old param.sfo and see if it works. The first time you try to load it will error but the second time should work.
If it works it will turn into a legitimate save, otherwise use Rebug's Debug settings and find "Fake Save Data Owner"(I think you need to change to REBUG/DEBUG menu, not at my ps3 to check), enable it and put the old save in home/savedata and it should show up in the game, with some games you have to fiddle around though.
Copy it from one user to another and rebuild database after that. Save dir for PS3 saves is "dev_hdd0/home/<usernumber>/savedata/". Save owner will be different so You have three ways to walk around it: resign it (which is not possible actually for most of saves), change NPAccountID in "dev_flash2/etc/xRegistry.sys" or use Fake Save Data Owner option turned on (but this affect to save owner, after first overwriting PS3 will change it).
