Is it TOO LATE for PS3??

I'm planning to buy a ps3, but I just want to make sure if it's worth it and if it's already too late, because I heard rumors about ps4 coming soon. And if it's still worth it, what's the best choice, fat or slim?

down to personal preference really myself id say yes its worth it and i prefer the phat models although i have a few phat and slim models then it comes down to if you want to jailbreak it or have it for online play if you want to jailbreak i would recommend looking 2nd hand as most new models now are above 3.55 and cant be downgraded.

I actually want to buy a phat model, because it has backwards compatability, and i hear it is WAY SEXIER than the slim ones but I don't think I can find a brand new one anymore. What good things would I get if I jailbreak my ps3? I don't really know much about it but I have read that you could store your games in the hard drive and you could play without using the blu-ray drive, therefore, prolonging it's lifespan. So does this mean that orignal ps3 can't do the same thing?

if your on official firmware then no you cant back your games up on hdd you wont get a new 60gb phat model i dont think but as said previous your better getting 2nd hand 1 if you want to jailbreak of if you want a new 1 then check the date code on it there is a page somewhere saying which date code to stay from if you want to jailbreak.

About the jailbreaking process, is it reversible? If it is, then could I still use psn with it? or is it forever banned?

It is reversible. You can't use PSN unless your own the latest OFW (official firmware), CFW is (custom firmware (jailbreak). It shouldn't get forever banned.

That's soo good to hear. I want to play online games too!. So I'm gonna have to say, I'll buy a ps3, the jailbroken one, haha,I guess I'm so poor to buy original games. Thanks a lot!

But there is a problem...... You cant play online on a jail broken ps3.... And if you upgrade to play online you cannot go back to jailbreak without buying a hardware flasher
