So far I've been using the standard composite cables that came with the PS3. Yesterday I purchased a set of component cables for the system. Long story short, its not working. Other than simply plug in the wires, is there something I should be doing on the system itself?

Under the video settings, I can change the the output, but, when trying that, it still did not work and I couldn't see what I was doing. After plugging in the old composite cables, it was fine.

    Any ideas???

Hook up your new cables, when you go to start your machine hold the power button for 5 seconds or so and it should reset your settings.
