Some noob questions

Hey guys, how are u doing?

I'm thinking of buying a PS3 in the end of this month, but i have some questions

1 - If I buy a PS3 slim, will i be able to unlock it and play those games from torrent trackers?

2 - Considering the first one is true, how would i do it?

3 - New consoles come with which version of the firmware?

4 - Is there any problem running the move bundle with the non-original games?

5 - In the case i can't get a slim playstation, any FAT one is unlockable ?

1. New consoles from the store are coming with a version of 3.50 that can't be downgraded or jailbroken. Not to say that when some useful tools come out of the key releases that this won't then be possible.

2. Read the PS Jailbreak FAQ in the General Jailbreak portion of the forum

3. 3.50 or 3.55

4. No

5. Yes as long as it hasn't been upgraded past 3.50 at this time. Like I said in #1, that could all changes as soon as today, and as far away as infinity.

I just bought a playstation move package - on the bottom said the manufacturing date was 9/24/10.

It had firware version 3.40 installed.

Try to buy something that was built on or before that date.
