ok guys..with all the recent things that happened inside the ps3 scene (good and bad)...how do you guys feel about updating your ps3?

Will probably update soon. Don't care for backups much, just waiting to see Sony's knee jerk reaction before I pass the point of no return.

when i can use my backup managers and sucessfully update my games like im doing right now i will.

I already upgraded to mfw 3.55 and I works for me I can play online n I also buy all games that r worth playing to me so I don't care. Plus ps3 games r to big to haver hdd

I'm like BrainDrain, I pretend to update all the time. The word you're looking for is INTEND not pretend. No I don't plan on updating any time soon. Maybe just buy another PS3 off Craigslist and use that as my online system. Or maybe an Xbox 360.

Go for the Xbox360…and since Sony is being a

i'd just buy all the cross-platform games on Xbox360 instead of on PS3…their ridiculous updates just to go on their Piece of Shit Network, or update games is quiet ludicrous if you ask me. Knowing that Sony has had a history of putting out bad firmware, why should the force consumers to update and risk not having their games working? At least if you have a flashed Xbox360, you can updates to your system w/o having to deal with loss of back-up ability.

c4eva has said he is working on a similar hack that the xbox has but on the ps3 blue ray drive so screw the xbox.
