Signing PSP games to play on PS3 console?
Signing PSP games to play on PS3 console? –
Hi, i'm new here so i really don't know (at least search didn't showed anything) if it was already discussed or not so...
I'm using Cobra to play PSP games on my PS3.
Today i was playing Brave Story (started it through PSP launcher) and after some time decided to play some PSN games which i installed earlier.
I quit PSP game normally, selected PSN game from the list but my console loaded previous PSP game.
I tried it with another games and result was all the same: start PSP game through launcher - quit it - start PSN game - it loads previous PSP game no matter what.
And i was wondering if it's possible to sign PSP games in some way and made them as a packages so anyone with CFW could install them and play without need of dongle?
Sorry if i wasted your time. Bye.
Well first, it's not really a matter of signing the PSP games. The trick is to get the PS3's PSP emulator to run using a PSP disc image on the hard drive. I'm sure this can be done because that's is what the Cobra dongle is doing. It's commonly accepted that there's no hardware inside the Cobra dongle that is needed to all the things that it does (PS2/PSP support). There's just software that's being run after being decrypted. The dongle has been out for over a year now and nobody has been able to reverse engineer it.
TLDR: Yes it is possible, but nobody other than Cobra has figured it out.
