For a lot of the games ins sports champions, it wants you to use two move remotes. Like in the hand to hand combat game, if you use two remotes, one is for the shield, the other is for the sword.
Also, for the fight game, its for each of your fists. It's a freaking rip off if you ask me. The navigation controller should work just as well.
Leave it to $ony.
?? The navigation controller doesn't have the ball on the top for the PS eye to track it.
I initially bought
Starter kit (Move Controller + PS Eye + Demo Disc
1 x extra Move controllers
2 x Navigation controllers
Sports Champions
The day I got it all I went home and my GF and I played Sports Champions. She loved it and the next morning I went straight to the game shop to buy two more move controllers so we could each have two to play Archery, Volleyball and Gladiator Duel or have friends over and play a 4-player game like Bocce.
I have not yet used either of the Navigation Controllers as no game requires them yet. In fact one of them is still sealed up in it's packaging.
Sure it's about $300 to get all the hardware but you don't have to buy it all at once and you can get started on single player for <$100.

Well good sir, I think our discussions about compatibility may be moot with the recent developments of 3.42 games being able to work on 3.41 by using the Castlevania EBOOT.BIN and editing the PARAM.SFO. The only thing is I think the game needs to have an online update to work.

Nothing against Math (legend). Next quote irrelevant to above lol.

That is bullshit. It ASKS you if you want to use 2 Move controllers, you don't NEED them. For example, you can have one controlling your sword, and one for the shield OR you can use just one, in which case you can control the shield by holding the "T Button".
Archery is similar - You can use one controller, but for the full experience you can use two.
For the boxing game it makes sense that you would need two, as it needs to track both your hands. The nav controller doesn't have a tracking bulb, so I'd like to know how you think that it would work "just as well".
I have 2x Move controllers, and I love them! Most of my family would never touch video games, but just this last weekend I had my brother and family over, and we played "start the party" nearly all day. Even my 4 year old niece was playing and enjoying it! The wife also enjoys the Move titles, which is more than enough reason for me.

I think its great. Better than wii 10x over. Its a great party game. Also play the gladiator on the hardest level. I bet you will get a really sweaty workout.
the navigation controller + move controller works great and is supported for Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition. Makes the game more exciting. u use the navi to move your character around, and use the move controller as your targeting weapon.
my 2 cents!

I atleast love Move. Few good games out there for it already. StartTheParty is fun if you have friends playing with you and few beers and joints ^^
It seems that Move is really overpriced there. 60 eur in Finland (Camera + one controller budle) (around $80)
