WELL THIS PART IS WRONG
Japanese PS3s have 100-250V if it says 50/60Hz on the bottom.
i sell PS3 on ebay sold to date 47 UNITS 20gb & 60gb in those numbers all japan most made in china japan model sum made in japan
they say the region code and power for region meant to be sold eg 120v for USA console BUT YEAH IS 100-250V
BUT DOESNT SAY Japanese PS3s have 100-250V if it says 50/60Hz on the bottom.
ON THE BOTTOM
ONLY THE PS3 TEST DEBUGGING UNITS DID SAY THAT
I also ship them out with a AUSTRALIAN power cord so user feels safe and really ive had 3 buyer ask if ok to plug in cause what box says as shipped aus cod they plug in work 100%
so has mine unit since the 2006 japan lunch
i had one in my house with my stock the day before japan launch & pluged in worked ever since there 100% 100v to 250v safe as long as use correct power cord for country
lol the japan models even have a green earth wire on the power lead for travell eg 240V
when japan use 2 pin at 110vwink wink
sony lie too much & hate imports & importors yet wont give me a sony aus account to buy direct & not import
I WANT pallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll lol
you can just use the same power supply should work fine
