Restore to factory setting

If I have a Older fat ps3 and I restore it back to factory setting will it go back to the firmware that it came when I got it???? If so this would be a great way to get on a CFW if your Ps3 was 3.55 or below when you got it right?

No it just restores the original settings, it doesn't do anything to the installed firmware.

if it were tat easy pretty much everyone would be on cfw only way is to downgrade through flasher.
