random no sound upon start up

my ps3 sometimes starts up without sound. Is this kind of a bug or faulty hdmi cable? It really doesn't bother me because it doesn't always happen. I'm using kmeaw 3.55, slim 120gb, and hdmi 1080p.

that is strange, have you tried a different hdmi cable? or how about the a/v cables that comes with it, and or a optical cable if you have one, that way you can at least rule them out if it aint that.

i remembered that it does that again about last month with different tv and a/v cables. Maybe it is because i always move my ps3 to another location like 2-3 times per week. But i never let it fall or bump i always carry it gently. Is this bad?

i dont think it is, if thats th extent of it, then you should be ok, unless other things start to happen, like freezing and stuff.
