Ps3 won't turn on beeps three and red light flash

when I plug in the ps3 and hit the switch in the back it beeps 3 times and the red light keeps flashing. What could be wrong with this? I can't even hit the power button in the front to get a solid red light.

when you turn it on does the light quickly flash yellow before blinking red if so ylod if not im not sure maybe google the fault see what comes up

Thanks for replying. No It's not YLod, I don't need to hit the power button as soon as the power cord is in and the switch in the back is turned on it goes solid for less then a second and then beeps three times and then the lights keep flashing

maybe there is a power fault or the switch could be faulty

switched the switch still nothing maybe the power supply. Really stumped on this

FYI, ylod doesn't always flash the yellow light. Sometimes it's just red that flashes. But your symptoms might mean it's the power supply.

I'm aware i think it's the power supply going to get a new one then post results.

Bought a new power supply still nothing. I'm quite sure it is a brick Ps3 symptom
