PS3 Trophies

If you have a PS3 game that has trophy support, do you try to get trophies or do you just don't really care?


Me - I sometimes go for them for fun when I go through a game but if the trophy is just ridiculous to get (Example: Get 30 headshots in a row without dying. That's just an example) or something like that, I just say screw it. They add replay value, in my opinion, but meh, whatever.

Well "Trophies" have not really taken off on the PS3 yet.

Over on the x360 camp, achievements as they are called, have become the latest and greatest "must-have" to brag to your LIVE friends, and for the public to view on XBOX.COM when browsing your profile.

In fact, now that M$ is going hardline and banning alot of the cough "modded" x360's, people are willing to sue, kill, hurt certain M$ employees, modder's, firmware authors all because they can't use their box anymore to gain new achievements.

Oh'well, to me it does not matter if I can kill "7 chickens in 7 seconds" on Call of Duty, and I was never a fan of online play or trophies to show off to total strangers on the 'net, I enjoy just playing the game by myself, and the only games I have replayed to try to gain more stuff or to unlock secrets, etc. have been the Silent Hill and Resident Evil series.

Yeah kinda the same here. Whenever I re-play through a game, it's for fun and to unlock more stuff. If the game has trophies, I may grab some. If it doesn't have any, oh well. Like a couple years ago when I was goin' for the Laser Cannon on Resident Evil 4. Right now goin' through Metal Gear Solid 4 again for fun.
