Okay I've been away for some time and didn't have time to play my ps3. Today I decided to turn it on and play and it displayed this message:
I did that, but after that it showed this:Code:Connect the controller using a USB cable, and then press the PS button.
Okay what I did is I tried to press the PS button again, but it loops to the message sayingCode:The system software cannot be run correctly. Press the PS button to try to restart the system. If the system cannot be restarted, you must reinstall the system software. Connect storage media that contains update data of version 3.55 or later, and then press the START and SELECT buttons at the same time. For information on how to obtain update data, refer to the SCE Web site for your region.
over again. Which leads me to the other solution, which is to 'update to 3.55' like what it says on screen.Code:Connect the controller using a USB cable, and then press the PS button.
Details are the last time I touched my ps3 was weeks ago when I played Final Fantasy XIII. I did not replace the HDD and I tried charging the controller to full before pressing the PS button. I also did not dare to update to any new CFW nor try to modify anything. I simply was on KMEAW CFW 3.55 + the latest version of multiman as of around july, which i forgot.., no modifications or any spoofs whatsoever. I doubt that the 4 blinking lights on the controller is the problem, as connecting it to a usb works.
Solutions I tried already are: all options on the recovery mode, all of them failed ('updating' the system partition again to 3.55 causes it to get stuck at 99, restoring database, default settings and file system failed, it said that hard disk cannot be accessed. Other error popped out is 8001002b and said call technical support.)
However I still did not try to format the HDD. Are there any solutions to get all my save files/trophies out of it? It got all of my Demons' Souls progress, ffxiii, red dead, and the hard earned trophies.....
