PS3 Slim power (Supply?) Issue.
PS3 Slim power (Supply?) Issue. –

Hello everyone I'm new to the scene, so I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question but here it goes anyway.
I'm having some trouble with a 160gb ps3 slim (it's out of warranty), I start it up and it runs for about 10~30 seconds then shuts down.
I figured it was the power supply (16v output EADP200DP model) so I pulled another power supply from a working playstation (same PSU model/output) and installed it in the malfunctioning unit and tested it with the same result.
So I'm wondering if the 16v output power has somehow become not enough juice to run this particular unit or if there is something else that could be wrong with the unit.
So My questions: Do the other model PS3 slim power supplies have different output voltages? (I know that is the case for the fat models) Or could something else be wrong with this unit? And Does some hardware require more power as it gets older (I noticed as the Overcurrent protection needs to be corrected on some power supply models like the APS-250)?
Any help would be appreciated very much.
