Dude, he was talking about connecting a 3.5" HDD to PS3...
You can connect 3.5" HDD but you need some equipment.
    1. Male to Female sata cable.
    2. Externl power source. (You can find this in external sata connection kits.)

First of all, connect your sata cable the inside of your ps3.
Then connect your hdd and external power source.
After that this is a standard proccess.
You have do a system update (same version or higher)...

But if you want to transfer all of your data on your previous hdd.
First, Install a Rebug CFW and install Rebug Update Package.
Connect your new hdd via usb.
Go to the "Debug Settings" and select "Transfer Utility"....
After finish that, you can connect and play with your new hdd without losing any data...

If you wanna do that, you have to open up your ps3.
Then connect to female sata cable to ps3's mainboard connection.
If you are really well skilled, you can connect it without open the case.

Why don't you just use 2.5" hdd?
3.5" doesn't give you any extra thing...
2.5"s are having 5400rpm (you can find 7200rpm too) 3.5"s rpm is starts with 7200rpm.
    But it doesn't change anything!
Ps3's reading speed is standard (to BD) and you cannot change whatever you try...
Actually it equals to playing a game on original BD and installing gamedata to hdd...

    Also where are you from?
Your English seems so poor to me...
