PS3 Slim Blu-Ray help –
i have had my ps3 less then a year and over the weekend i bought 3 Blurays...they're all brand new, transformers dark of moon, x-men first class, and fast five
ive played fast 5 and it works fine when i went to play xmen every 10-15minutes (sometimes less) the audio will keep going but the screen will freeze for about 5 secs then resume back to where the audio is
i returned xmen and got a new one and the new one is doing the same thing so im assuming it's something with my blu ray player i just think it's weird because i was able to play fast five fine with no problems
by the way my system has been updated
any suggestions/ help?
can you tell us more about your console firmware info?
PS3: Slim 320GB / CFW KMEAW 3.55 / multiMAN v04.xx.xx / blackb0x FTP Server v1.2 3.55 w/ FlashFXP 4.2.x
PS2: SLIM & PHAT / FreeMcBOOT w/ESR & OPL 9-r651 / SMS w/PSClient v1.3.1
PSP: PHAT / 5.00 M33-6
Have you ever downgraded the firmware? Also, is it only that one movie or can you replicate it with different movies? If this a pirated copy that might have some protection on it?
If you rent them, be sure your disk is clean, no stratch
This may sound a little strange, but some BD, DVD & CD's need a light buffing with a soft cloth in order for some players to be able to read them.
I have a few LG & Sony players that all need the discs to be buffed up a little first up. Even an LG DVD recorder that will not burn new discs straight off the pile & has been that way since new.
Essentially, your laser is not 100% aligned, but enough to read the discs. So the slightest deviation, and it has to try and lock back on again.
The PS3 has no manual way to align the laser, so the hardware & software compensates.
Audio is normally stored in a 10 second buffer, a leftover feature from the days of cd's
