nope, i think i have a way to swap it out for a real one, a store manager owes me a BIG favor.
still wanna find that damn code though lol
could you not just buy a legit on and return the demo one. I am sure you would have to be careful in swapping sticker information or just swap shells if that's possible . then return the ps3 demo console and everyone is happy!!
try this code , its posted on eurasia.nu
"Finally Paradox decided to release the PS3 exploit, and guess what, it's really easy to use! All you need is the PS3 controller and a secret button combination during PS3 boot which will disable the disc protection. You can load any backup after this!! To enable the exploit press the following buttons at the same time on the PS3 controller after power on; L1, L2, R1, R2, SELECT, START, TRIANGLE, SQUARE, press and hold while rotating both the analog sticks clockwise slowly then tap X distinctively once. It takes a while to get a hang of it, but it is worth the effort. Please note that some buttons might be hard to reach at the same time so get a friend to help or use your feet to aid."
maybe the one who joking is PDX XD
hmm, its look like this year many website do April Fools,

I don't think this is fair for you whatsoever. But, if you can't find anything else to help you out, or you run out of ideas, this might help you when its released.
The InFeCtuS multi-system modchip claims to be able to flash the PS3's firmware. Which basically, should solve your problem(assuming its something to do with the firmware).

Hope this helps..
Actually, according to http://www.infectus.biz/forum/index.php?topic=15.0
