PS3 reads 26.30/74GB but only 24GB of info. installed? –
The question is in the post title
cleaning out my hdd, it's the original that came with my CECHKxx, and noticed that i can't account for about 25GB of used data
I looked at the system info. for both the XMB and XMMB, both saying the same thing, I have about 25GB of free space, with only about 25 used(checked with XMMB, multiman)
any info is appreciated
GAMES/GAMEZ folder, hdd0/game folder, hdd0/packages folder, any ISO folders eg. for CobraUSB and have you ever installed an OtherOS?
Used MM to browse directories and just looked at each file folder in the entire tree by pressing O>properties, then looking at the readout

don't have otheros.
I did before the ofw got rid of it, could that be it? maybe the otheros data?
formatted the hdd to free up a total of 64/74GB available
does that sound right?
also, if i had otheros before 3.21 then upgraded could i still possibly have lost data/space that was being used by the it that i don't know about? e.g. had videos on otheros and when i upgrade to 3.21 ofw, that information is still on the hdd? or would that data be wiped with the install of the new firmware
Looks like you had a OtherOS partition. After a HDD format it will get rid of it. The 64/74GB after you formatted looks about right to me.
