I just got an email from a hacking site claiming they are working on a PS3 Optical Drive emulator which will work on any OFW including 4.25 once your drive key is known.

Can anyone confirm if this legitimate or bogus?

can only retrieve drive key through 3.55 CFW ATM so of no use to anyone who can't downgrade to 3.55' but has been confirmed by a few well knowns in the scene http://tortuga-cove.com/content/upda...emulator-works

Unless it can do what the Xbox 360 Optical Emulator can do by getting the key directly. Only time will tell.

they're working on other methods ATM, still would rather have a software solution (like 4.21 CFW (DEX)
