PS3 not detecting any internal hard drive

My ps3 was working fine last night, this morning it is not detecting any internal hard drive. The discs spin up ok so there is power there but just getting the"correct hard drive not found" message. Any ideas?

Go to recovery mode and "rebuild database".

It wont let me into recovery mode, its just showing the same message. Ive tried 3 hard drives and it does the same thing with each.
