PS3 model CECHJ03, PS2 games compatible?

Hello!

I got a EU phat CECHJ03. Somewhere I have heard some batches of this console is able to play PS2 games aswell, do anyone have info about this?

No it can't unless someone can show proof otherwise. But as far as I know the BC stopped a few revisions prior.

According to the wiki, the last model that could even do software emulated ps2 play was the CECHE. Everything after that can't

Thanks alot for your useful info, I checked wiki but didnt find anything :/

From the PS3 wiki my friend, nope sorry and besides it would only play PS2 Japanese titles anyhow as the PS2 titles are still region locked like the PS1 titles are.

That big empty box you see there is missing 2 USB Ports as that is all there is to that PS3 model. Ot was written three blocks earlier.
