ps3 just screwed me with a rebuild of the database
I was saving a folder of jpegs from a digital camera into my ps3 from an external hd today and got "an error occurred during the copy operation (80030001)". I shut it off and later when I restarted it I got the message "Rebuiling database" which took a few hours...I had about 6 folders of videos (game videos, captured tv mpegs, etc.) and about 50 folders of jpegs. Now under photo there is just an "unknown" folder containing all 11,418 images, and under video one folder containing all 475 videos. All my original folder names are gone and now there is no way group them into the folders they were in. It took months to compile all these into the groups and folders I had and now it is all crap! WTF!?! The only means of sorting or grouping available in the XMB are completely worthless and still yeild folders way too large to browse. Now what the heck am I supposed to do?
