They said the pics were of the model and not the finished product they'll probably shrink it down

kinda silly to pay money for that, when right now there is no reason to upgrade the drive, and you can upgrade the drive with a standard SATA 2.5" hdd (nothing special there)

For the cost of this goofy thing and a hdd, you could probably buy a humongous 2.5" drive instead (and not use this strange thing)

It has to fit a 3.5" hdd so it has to be somewhat big.

i would dissaggree. But then hey im just a machineist/welder, and my standards may be low.. or maybe your standards are thus of a person who works at a fast food joint or some store.... anyway, i think its brilliant. and im sure someone will finangle it to move. Brilliant.

I'm pretty sure that for the cost of a 160GB 2.5" SATA drive, you could buy the hyperdrive and a 3.5" hard drive of at least twice the size. Unless they disgustingly overprice the hyperdrive of course...
