PS3 HDD internal upgrade, question

Hi all,
I'm planning an upgrade to my ps3 hdd. I want to replace standard 250gb hdd with 640gb one.
I want to do it quickly, and have more free space without losing my games or filesystem.

Can I just plug the old HDD to my computer and CLONE it to the new one? Would it work ? Of course I would resize the ps3 partition to new disk size after that. Is that also possible?
PS3 internal HDD is ext2, right?

Nope mate, you can't do that...
PS3 internal hdd has a proprietary format, it's not ext2.
So you either have to use a FTP homebrew or Comegenie to move/copy all your games to another drive.
Don't forget to also use the built-in function to backup your profile(s) and saves.
Then just upgrade your drive.
You'd better check some tuts here before starting to switch, just in case you missed a step.
