Ps3 hdd backup problem
I recently back up my ps3 drive to swap out a 500gig that was in it for another 500gig as the one that was it it was failing by that i mean i could hear it clicking. Now when i try to load the backup onto the new drive it comes up unable to complete then reboots and i have to reformat the drive.
Now the real question i want to know is there a way to extract particular things i want to keep from this back up or some other way to load the backup back on?
im not sure, but if its something like saved games u may want to try rebug cfw as i believe there is a work around for that. Do a little research on rebug cfw u may get some answers
i think i fixed it when i backed it up i used usb slot 2 and was trying to load it from usb slot one now i have it back in slot 2 it has loaded more then it has before
Now i have run into what i see as another problem after swapping things around it seemed to be working till i got home from work to find it stuck on 79% and 9hrs to go so i waited another day and still no change i had though maybe it was because i unplugged the controller during the restore. So now i restarted the restore overnight now its stuck on 79% and 5hrs 20mins the ps3 hdd light is solid but not flashing and same with the light on the external hdd is now solid and not flashing should i chalk it up to i cannot recover my stuff and delete it? or leave it and have a wait and see approach?
