PS3 hard drive as internal or external?
PS3 hard drive as internal or external? –
Hey Mods, performed a careful search on this topic beforehand, please don't jump down my throat.
I recently bought a 500 gb western digital internal drive for my playstation, love it and it's working great. I took the 80 GB hard drive out and bought an external case for it to use for media. I got it all situated and plugged it in, and it initially registered on my computer (Windows XP), however does not show up under My Computer in order to re-format it. Now I imagine that it's format is something Windows cannot read, and I'm not much of a linux guy. What can a guy do to reformat their old PS3 hard drive in order to use on their computer? Thanks.
go to disk management and see if your 80 gig is there...then reformat...
Yeah did all that. Ended up plugging it into a different computer and it popped up, reformatted from my computer. Everything peachy. Can delete this is you want mods.
